Root Canal Treatment
When bacteria gets near the pulp (the core of the tooth), it may cause an inflammation and irritation in the pulp (the living part inside the tooth).
This inflammation can subside after filling the tooth and the removal of the affected area. However a more significant inflammation can be irreversible and cause pulpitis which might result in a dead pulp that can potentially get infected and cause an abscess. Pulpitis and the resulting abscess can necessitate root canal treatment. We get rid of the bacteria inside the pulp by cleaning out the pulp chamber and sealing it. Depending on the shape of the pulp the procedure can be straightforward or complicated. In some rare cases it can require treatment by a specialist.
